Renan began his career in the financial markets after rising to the rank of Infantry Officer in the Brazilian army. In 2007, he began trading Brazilian blue-chip shares on the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa), before moving on to the forex market.
He joined Alpari’s Analyst team in 2016 and focuses on technical trading, fundamental analysis and trading psychology. He prioritises developing a trading system and sticking to it, while taking psychological factors into consideration. His trading philosophy uses discipline, patience, predictability and probability to improve consistency and trading performance.
Cesar Valencia holds a degree in Economics from the University of Santiago de Chile and a diploma in Investments and Financial Markets from the University of Chile.
He has eight years of experience working in the financial markets, including advising investors on their decisions through technical and fundamental analysis. He also regularly spoke and tutored at investment seminars and trading strategy workshops.
Before joining the Alpari Research and Analysis team in 2017, Cesar worked as a feature columnist, focusing primarily on finance and investments.
